FIND THE GRIT.
Brunswick Kinetic occupies a repurposed industrial warehouse in the heart of Melbourne's inner north, where the raw character of exposed brick meets world-class bouldering terrain. Our facility is more than just a gym; it is a community hub that reflects the gritty, creative spirit of the Brunswick neighbourhood. We have meticulously designed every angle of our walls to challenge the physical and technical limits of local climbers.
Whether you are a seasoned high-baller or stepping onto the mats for the very first time, you are part of an evolving story of strength and persistence. Our industrial roots provide the perfect backdrop for personal breakthroughs and social connection. Come and find your grit amongst a community that values progress over perfection.

GYM HOURS
*PUBLIC HOLIDAYS SUBJECT TO CHANGE
For those seeking a more focused and quiet climbing session, we recommend visiting during our early morning slots between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM. If you are looking for a high-energy community atmosphere, our evenings from 5:30 PM onwards are the peak time for social sends and project collaboration. We host weekly community nights every Thursday where the gym energy reaches its peak with local DJs and fresh sets.
LOCAL GRIT VOICES
"The setting here is arguably the most technical in Melbourne. I've been climbing for six years and Kinetic still finds ways to humble me with their slab problems. The community vibe is second to none."
— Lachlan S., Brunswick Local
"As a complete beginner, I was worried about the 'industrial grit' vibe, but the staff were so welcoming. They helped me with my first heel hook and now I'm here three nights a week. Best gym in the north."
— Sarah M., Coburg North
"Perfect for morning sessions before work. The coffee is decent, the walls are always fresh, and the industrial aesthetic really gets you in the zone for a hard session. Highly recommend the membership."
— David T., Carlton
TECHNICAL FAQ
Is there on-site parking available?
Yes, we have limited on-site parking at the rear of the warehouse accessible via the side lane. Additionally, there is ample unmetered street parking on the surrounding blocks. We encourage local members to cycle, and we provide secure indoor bike racks for your convenience.
How accessible is the gym via public transport?
We are ideally located just a 5-minute walk from the local train station. Several tram lines also run along the main road, making it very easy to reach us from the Melbourne CBD or northern suburbs. Many of our members commute directly from work using these public transport links.
Are you open on public holidays?
We typically operate on public holidays but often with reduced hours, usually from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. We recommend checking our social media channels or the website homepage 48 hours prior to any holiday for specific timing updates. Please note that member access codes may have different restrictions on these days.
Do you have accessibility features for disabled climbers?
Our main gym floor and social areas are fully ground-level and wheelchair accessible. While bouldering itself has physical requirements, we strive to be an inclusive space and can discuss specific needs for para-climbing training. Please Coil Bouldering Co our management team to discuss how we can best support your visit.
Do I need to book a session in advance?
For casual climbing, no booking is required—you can just walk in, sign the waiver, and start your session. However, for introductory classes, coaching sessions, or large group events, we do require a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. This ensures we have enough staff on hand to provide a safe and high-quality experience.
